KHN Solutions LLC helped pioneer the consumer market for breath alcohol testers. KHN first offered breathalyzers online in 2001 and positioned them as an entertaining safety device that should be used by everyone consuming alcohol.
In 2004, KHN Solutions submitted the first 510(k) application to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for a breath alcohol tester intended for consumer use. As part of the application, KHN was responsible for demonstrating that consumers could operate the product safely and correctly interpret test results.
KHN Solutions now offers a variety of products through retail and wholesale channels. From 2003-2005, KHN partnered with Target.com, a division of Target Corporation, to offer breathalyzer products for resale through Target's online site. In 2003, the Oakland Raiders of the National Football League invited KHN Solutions to their team headquarters in Alameda, CA to speak to players about alcohol safety and offer breathalyzers to players.
